Hilltone Farms is a second generation farming operation located near Arnprior in the Ottawa Valley. Harvey?s father, Mel, purchased the property in 1948.
As well as providing pasture for their cattle on their 800 acre farm, the Hills grow corn, soybeans, wheat and hay both for their cattle and for the cash crop market. About 600 acres are planted to corn, soybeans and wheat. Hilltone Farms is a mixed farming operation with a dairy herd and about 300 head of Charlais cross beef cattle.
