Barkley has owned the farm since 1972 and it has been home to his 3 children, John, Jodie and Dan, from childhood until now as young adults. JO-BAR Farm specializes in quality purebred Charolais for breeding stock. This breed is well known for the high quality beef it produces.
Barkley has won numerous awards for the consistency and excellence of his breeding program, including Top Bull Award in the Charolais breed. His hard work, dedication and outstanding achievement in his beef operation for the last 20 years have been recognized by Beef Improvement Ontario.
